This is the beginning of the next phase of my blog.
It comes at a very pivotal moment of my life as a 63-year old, heterosexual Catholic Christian male. I have just invested 3 hours on the phone with my webhosting friends and they were so patient and accommodating!! The wonderful 2 women took ample time with me, a non-tech-savvy person, to get my blog going. I still am overwhelmed by the technology, but I am trying…
My oldest brother John is suggesting that I write a “gratitude list”…first Gratitude being that I could talk to my bro John on the phone just now. I am also grateful for my relationship with Jesus Christ, although not pressuring Him to appear here in person right now. This is too much to ask, I realize…but He “appeared” to me in the phone call with Bro John…that’s good enough for me!
I am also grateful for my other 4 brothers and 3 sisters who have graced me with phone conversations recently. You see, my brothers and sisters live far away from me and I will not be getting together with them until August 2025 when we all meet together for my niece’s wedding in Minneapolis. But phone calls are still an excellent way to connect with them!
To end this short list of Gratitudes, I will mention the new being in my life—Murray, the 2-year-old stray cat that I picked up a week ago at HAWS, a nearby animal shelter where my new buddy Murray was hanging out until I picked him out and brought him home. Murray is a black and white tabby with a HUGE CURIOSITY and a busy body!! Adopting Murray was a big move for me. Previously I had been living alone in my suburban Milwaukee apartment. Now, I have a sometimes rowdy/sometimes mellow cat. But he brings so much JOY! I love it!
