President Trump and his cronies invaded Venezuela today, bringing down Meduro’s regime and speaking of the invasion as being the biggest since WWII! This bravado seems sickening to me in that the president actively promotes regime change and says that now the USA will be running Venezuela…
The sad thing is that Trump seems so sure of himself in the wake of this deplorable act of taking over this South American country. I’m not claiming to know what is best for our country, but I can see what is WORST!! Invading Venezuela is among the worst things that Trump has done since he has been in power, for a year now.
It reminds me of President George W. Bush invading Afghanistan in 2001 after the US had endured the 911 attack, describing the invasion as “Shock & Awe” as if we were supposed to be impressed by this use of force in the region.
Trump had been building up for this invasion for months, actually employing our best & brightest to this region for the sake of invasion—and here we stand today as an invading country on a country with little to no ability to defend itself! I lift my heart up in prayer that this NOT be the beginning of the end for the USA, in that if we are allowed to just take over whatever country we wish, that we will be met with a mighty force from above in defense of the Venezuelan people.
There are a lot of directions I could take with this blog entry, but I choose to put out there that the USA needn’t meddle in a sovereign country’s raison d’etra…and I want to sound the alarm for the sake of the Venezuelan people—that I for one do not support this war!!! I will not stand by idly while our country has taken over this country!!! I, for one, do not agree with Trump that he has the right to destroy any other country’s FREEDOM TO BE!!
Lord, help us, in this time of woe, that our leaders find peaceable means to solve the world’s problems, not by taking one another over with force, but by displaying the strength of setting the example of working WITH world leaders to solve perplexing problems!! When I say “God BLESS THE USA, I ask for the will of God be done…knowing that I am doing my part by praying for peaceful outcomes!!!
