It’s a mighty good day…to PRAISE THE LORD!!
These are lyrics from a song we sing in All Saints Catholic Gospel Choir as an anthem of LOVE and devotion to Jesus Christ, our Lord & leader!! God has given us so many wonderful gifts — especially our voices to sing His praises!! It’s more than just a song! It’s a crying out—loud and clear—of the LOVE God has blessed us with!
Another song we sing is “Come Holy Spirit” in which we evoke the good graces of the 3rd Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit—to come and bless us along our vast and personable pathways we each walk…calling out the Grace and Presence of the Spirit of God in each of our lives!
This blog has allowed me a platform to speak out my personal hopes and longings! I pray now, at this moment, for all those in this world who may seem voice-less, burdened by the cruelties of a world that is not tuned into their frequency of need. I pray for all the beautiful people in this world who may feel neglected and taken for granted.
This blog is my place to shine a light on some great people—such as our choir director Sheila Bost whose Spiritedness lights up the Sunday 7:30 am Mass, and ignites the flame of Love at our 11 am Masses each Sunday! Sheila’s fervent leaderships transforms our everyday and varied singing gifts into a tremendous force for good as we come together to sing out with gusto and Grace!!
Sheila’s fine leadership escorts in many a soloist to display their talents…our choir was joined with all of the Central City choirs yesterday for the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King celebration which was a collaborative effort of some 60 choir members from 6-7 different Milwaukee area parishes! It’s an event of great joy and fellowship AND explosively great music!!
I thank God for the privilege of being in this Gospel choir! It gives me the opportunity to bless the Lord with my voice, with the swaying back & forth and the hand clapping too!! It is always of lively atmosphere
