I finally was able to get to the “ADD POST” page, on a night when I truly want to share…
My friend Paul has stopped communicating with me…I have called him 7 times in the past 24 hours … no answer, AND I have lost the ability to leave him a message…I think I blew it, in my self-righteousness and impatience!! I don’t know if I will ever hear from him again…the way he has talked about self-harm is unsettling…
I had a super cool day today! Sandra and I went to 7:30 am Mass and made it back to her place for Scripture discussion…then I went back to All Saints for 11 am Mass….it was wonderful, singing tenor in the choir…it was Parish cookout day so I helped my Knights of Peter Claver Brothers serve the food and really put out when it was time to clean up…I played a major roll in getting that big job of tearing down tables and stacking chairs…I am the only white person in our KPC band of Brothers…I really enjoy being with these fabulous Black people,, not apologizing for my WHITENESS, but doing my best to pitch in and fit in…
Then I met up with Sandra at her place and we went out for some crispy butterfly shrimp at local Culver’s … and we watched 4 episodes of our favorite show THE WEST WING!! It was a blast! Had plenty of great conversation and good eats…such a fun and lively day. I stained my yellow KPC shirt pretty badly in all the movement of the tables and chairs, though! Oh well, I TRIED!!
